The hidden gem of Guatemala

Tucked away in the vast jungle of exotic isolation you can find a place straight out of a wilderness fairy tale; the beautiful Semuc Champey.

Semuc Champey literally translates to: where to river hides under the earth; which is quite fitting, as the Cahabon River now flows under the lime stone bridge. Some water managed to go over, resulting in the clearest but most slippery rock pools you can ever image.

To be able to enjoy these turquoise waters, lush green surroundings and thrilling rock slides you will have to endure hours and hours of winding 'roads'  as this slice of heaven isn't easy to reach and let's hope it stays that way.

ECOtip: Don't leave anything behind!
