An Unique Stay in this Moroccan Beach Town

Taghazout is a charming little fisherman’s village one hour south of Agadir, a city frequented by all year round sun seekers and beach lovers.

The charm of this tiny town is not as undiscovered as it used to be as Taghazout is rapidly growing into a prime surf and yoga destination. Where the accomodation options were once limited to hostels and simple guesthouses, more and more upscale hotels are popping up in the area.

One of these additions is the eccentric boutique hotel ‘Munga Guesthouse’; where Ibiza’s boho beach vibes are mixed with African heritage.

Room options range from mini suites to magnums, all decorated individually and fitted out with local materials and artworks.

There are two restaurants, one one the bottom floor and one on the roof terrace with stunning ocean views. Mornings are started with a standard continental breakfast but for dinner you have the choice between Moroccan, Mediterranean or sushi.

Munga offers surf and yoga lessons and private trips to the many surf breaks along the coast. If you are looking for a great day trip, from Taghazout you will also be able to visit the natural wonder of Paradise Valley.

Besides being mindful of local materials and communities, the Munga team is planning to become more sustainable in the coming years by utilising solar panels.
