A Brazilian getaway to Paradise
With almost 8000 kilometers of coastline, picking a beach to go to in Brazil for your weekend getaway, can be quite challenging. Well, let us help you, as we might have found the right place.
In the North Eastern corner of Brazil, between the cities of Recife and Macao, you can find stretches of picture perfect unspoilt beaches. Think waving palm trees, fresh coconuts, powdery white sand and clear blue water.
The friendly little town of Maragogi is the gateway to the protected Coral Coast and with 150km of reef it makes for the perfect snorkeling and holiday destination.
Just outside of Maragogi there is a beautiful Pousada (guesthouse) cleverly named: Praiagogi. The white and light blue boutique hotel is set amongst flowers and tropical plants.
Take a few steps from your bedroom and find yourself on an alluring stretch of beach, with a little bit of luck, all to yourself.
The food is bought locally and prepared fresh in their open-air Restaurant 'Tuyn', placed in the middle of the romantic garden.
One of the most popular activities in the area is a visit to the Gales Marine Reserve, a colourful underwater scene between reefs and sandbanks, six kilometers off shore. Day and half day tours can be arranged in the Pousada. Day trips to the famous reefs of Porto do Galinhas or to the colonial city of Olinda can also be arranged in town.
Praiagogi is the perfect place for a few days of strolling the endless beaches and listening to the ocean-breeze.
