The Most Elegant Riad in Marrakech

It is no secret that booking a visit to Morocco’s most exotic city can leave you absolutely puzzled. Marrakech offers an overwhelming amount of astonishing luxury hotels and smaller scaled ‘Riads’, traditional houses converted to boutique hotels, making it hard to find the right accomodation for your trip. Therefore, we are highlighting some of our favourite places to stay in the imperial city.

Meet ‘Riad de Tarabel’, quite possibly the most elegant Riad in the whole of Marrakech. The Riad is tucked away in an alleyway behind the Royal Palace, Dar el Bacha.

The location gives you the convenience of being positioned right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, while enjoying complete peace and privacy. Many landmarks, such as the intriguing Djemaa El-Fna square, can be reached by foot well under 15 minutes.

Riad de Tarabel is a sizeable French Colonial style mansion, with an original romantic decor. The residence exhibits a courtyard fringed with orange trees, a pool patio and an extensive roof terrace with sun loungers and a heated spa.
The 10 incredibly chic rooms are all designed individually, decked out in the similar colonial style; including bamboo features, plants and beautiful bath tubs.

Dinner can be arranged a la carte and enjoyed wherever it pleases you. The offerings range from traditional Moroccan dishes to fine French cuisine. A continental breakfast can be enjoyed in the courtyard or, if the whether permits, on the spacious rooftop.

There are quite a few compelling reasons to stay at Riad de Tarabel; the grandeur of the interior, the excellent location and the commodious living spaces. However, the hotel’s most striking component is the team working at the Riad. The staff is absolutely wonderful, attentive and charming. They will go out of your way to make your visit to Marrakech as memorable as possible.
