Pastel elegance at the Belmond das Cataratas

Two of South America's most extensive countries, Brazil and Argentina are separated by one of the most extensive waterfalls in the world; Iguazu (or Iguassu) Falls, a spectacle not to miss when visiting this flavourful continent.

On the Brazilian side, within the National Park of Iguassu, lies the luxurious Belmond das Cataratas, the only hotel located in close proximity of the natural wonder.

This five star resort, just a few meters away of one of the main viewpoints in Iguazu's National Park is set in a pastel pink colonial style building. The hotel grounds comprise of a spacious swimming pool, tennis courts and a wellness spa.

Decorations throughout the hotel boast a colonial charm with a hint of kitch, creating the feel of a traditional Portuguese mansion.

Choose from one of the three dining experiences in the Ipê Grill, Itaipu Restaurant or Bar Tarobá, surrounded by lush nature and accompanied by waterfall sounds in the background.

During you stay you can join the full moon walking tour, helicopter flight over the falls or even a waterfall rapelling and rafting experience if you are feeling adventurous.

Wandering around the national park outside of the general closing hours is one of the highlights of this hotel visit.
