The Most Laid Back Moroccan Beach Town
There are some places in the world that, as soon as you set foot in them, feel like home. They stick with you, center you and give you a new perspective on life. One of these places is the charming little beach town Taghazout.
Only a 30 minute taxi drive from the popular beach town Agadir, you can find the white washed, hippie and surfer claimed fisher village.
Surf rules this town and with all year round beginner and pro surfing conditions, it's not hard to see why Taghazout is considered Morocco's surfing Mecca.
You'll be able to find many 'Surf Camps' around, which sounds a lot more back to basic than it is in reality. Comfortable accommodation, great food and daily surfing lessons are the perfect recipe for a true Taghazout getaway.
If you're not too keen to get your wetsuit out, many surfer camps also provide daily yoga classes, to get your zen on.
When you're all surfed and yoga'd out (if that's even possible), you can find the imposing Paradise Valley close by, which makes for a perfect day trip.
If all the previous hasn't convinced you yet to pay a visit to this laidback land; the town is also scattered with roaming puppies and kittens, happy to hop on your lap for a while. Baby animals, yoga and surf, good food and beautiful nature around the corner; good luck leaving this place!
